There should be a serial plate on the kiln that says the actual model number, voltage, phase, watts, etc. Been doing it that way so long its normal and real. LT-3K is the model fo the Kiln Sitter shutoff device, not the kiln. I use tape to hold the start button depressed but that's just a minor inconvenience. It heats up fast and holds the heat awesome.
